December 12, 2012Boca Grande Tarpon Fishing, January 5th 2013
January 4, 2013Boca Grande tarpon fishing charters, Florida tarpon fishing charters. Now booking for 2013!
As my regular clients know it is wise to book your boca grande tarpon fishing charters early. April, May, June, and July are all very busy months for not only myself but for all good tarpon fishing guides who fish out of Boca Grande. My schedule is normally 75% full by mid March.
I will be offering 6 hour, 10 hour, and 12 hour trips this year as normal. As of now, end of December 2012, gas prices are on the decrease so I do not foresee any rate increases for 2013, that is good news. I realize everyone has a breaking point in their budget. Tarpon crabs (prime bait for tarpon fishing) prices are more than likely going to be the same as last year, $30 per dozen on average. I have decided to set my prices as follows:
April tarpon charters:
6 hours- $600
10 hours- $1000
May and June tarpon charters
6 hours $675
10 hours $1000
12 hours $1200
Prices are a little higher in May and June due to the fact that I normally use live crabs as bait. As I mentioned live crabs cost a average of $30 per dozen. I will figure out what my rates will be for our “late” season tarpon fishing charters at a later date. I wanted to release my rates now for April-July so that my clients can make the determination on how many and what length trips they want to fish.
All prices are for three anglers per trip. A fourth angler can be added for an additional $75.
My rates are very competitive with the other top fishing guides in Boca Grande. As always you will find cheaper rates offered by a few “fly by night” fishing guides. I’m not going to bash other guides to make myself look better on the Internet. I have been a fishing guide since I was 20 years old, I have tarpon fished in Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor my entire life, I did not wake up one day and decide I was going to buy a boat, get a captain license, buy a bunch of expensive fishing gear, then LEARN how to catch tarpon on my clients dime. Fishing is not only my job, but my passion. I do not come to Boca Grande for a few weeks a year to run charters like MANY out of town guides do, I fish here and live here year round. I run a top notch operation and I work very hard for my clients. My clients expect to catch tarpon when they fish with me and I do everything I possibly can to make that happen, day after day, year after year.
Please feel free to contact me if you have ANY questions or concerns regarding your fishing charter.
