It is almost the first of the year, another Boca Grande tarpon season has wrapped up. I have began to book for the 2014 Boca Grande tarpon fishing season. As usual I will begin to start tarpon fishing in Charlotte Harbor around the first week of April and continue to fish for tarpon through October.

I have filled almost half of the 2014 hill tide dates for this year and I suspect that the remainder of the hill tides for May and June will be gone within the next 6 weeks. Normally my April-June schedule is full by March so if you are thinking of doing some pre-planning for this year please feel free to contact me.

The Here and Now!

I have been targeting redfish in shallow water in Pine Island Sound. The redfishing has been very good this year and the winter low tides are not disappointing. This type of fishing is much like hunting, and catching 10+ pound redfish on artificials with light tackle is a blast. I’m fishing 2-3 days a week right now so I can accommodate any last minute request normally.
