Tarpon fishing has been great this past week in Boca Grande, in fact this past week has been the best tarpon fishing of the year in Boca Grande. Every tarpon fishing trip this past week I have hooked at least 6 tarpon and up to 10 tarpon per trip. The tarpon are feeding on the acres of glass minnows that show up this time of year with some consistant rain.

I have been using both aritifical lures and live bait. I have been casting DOA baitbusters in a rootbeer color. Fo rlive bait I have been using live ladyfish. In addition to the feeding tarpon the catfish also are feeding around the same bait schools so using any live bait smaller than ladyfish results in catching catfish.
